Former Democratic U.S. Rep. Dave Obey of Wausau on Wednesday endorsed iron worker Randy Bryce's bid to unseat House Speaker Paul Ryan.

In unusually harsh language, Obey attacked Ryan, claiming that he "has, for far too long, gotten away with his finely tuned act of being a moderate policy wonk, fighting the good fight on behalf of his constituents in southeast Wisconsin."

"Rather, Ryan is an intellectually rigid, romantic ideologue masquerading as a moderate and pragmatic legislator," Obey said in a statement released by the Bryce campaign. "The only thing moderate about Paul Ryan is his demeanor."

Obey also claimed that Ryan has "pushed to turn (President Donald) Trump from a promise-keeper to a promise-breaker," on the issues of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid................................................

much like him either, for different reasons. I just wonder if his replacement will be better. Trey Gowdy would be even worse. More conservative, stupid, & more obsessed.

Anyway, when Ryan goes, I'll crack the champagne I had planned for Hillary's victory.

breaks the Rethug stranglehold on your State. You just do not have the Resources or ability to service this idea. And you now have lost Kenosha,well that says volumes.

exposure. Think we should consider chipping in a few supportive bucks to his campaign. One way of expressing contempt for Ryan.

When Dave Obey says something, you can take it to the bank. He has a reputation as a straight shooter and honest man. Our country could use a lot more like him.
