Wisconsin DOJ now involved in Wausau ballot drop box investigation
WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) -- The Wisconsin DOJ is now involved in the investigation into Wausau's ballot box and its removal by Mayor Doug Diny.
An agent with the DOJ contacted News 9 Wednesday to ask for any materials related to situation surrounding the removal and subsequent placement of the ballot box.
News 9 is responding as legally required.
Calls to the offices of the mayor and city clerk went unanswered Wednesday about any potential investigation or who might be involved.
