I thought my voting would take five minutes; instead, it was over an hour. Electronic scanner/counter was down (had been for about an hour BEFORE I got there they said) and it took TWO more machines before things got rolling again. Didn't choose to put my ballot in the slot in the base of the machine, or to come back later (pink slip would remain with poll worker, identifying me -- old ballot would be destroyed and I'd get a new one when I came back. No thanks.) I waited, watching a VERY busy polling place, till all got fixed. Observers present, taking notes. Election worker explaining everything to everybody. We'll probably be on the news.
