Ok, polls are closed. I've got to say something that has been eating at me for weeks

In February 2011 the people of Wisconsin, including me, became enraged at the heavy handedness of the newly elected majority.

That majority COULD have accomplished everything it wanted without needing to cram the tyranny of the majority down the throats of almost half the state.

THIS _WAS_ PERSONAL in the sense that it was AT LEAST about the BAD PERSONALITIES OF SCOTT WALKER AND SCOTT FITZGERALD.

The WI-Dems never really seemed to understand just how personal this really was.

WALKER IS A VERY BAD PERSON. FITZGERALD IS A VERY BAD PERSON. Control of the government by billionaires in control of corporations outside the state IS A VERY BAD IDEA.

I wish we could have pushed that rather than muddy job creation numbers. The rebellion was NEVER about jobs. It was about a major failure of COMITY. A failure of the governors to consider the interests of ALL the governed.

Ok. I said it. I'm good now.

I hope the returns kick the shit out of Walker, Kleefisch and the 4 republican senators!

I'm perfectly willing to admit that could be entirely do to a uniquely wrong personal presepective on my part.
It just really hasn't felt that way since March 2012.

And yes, the battle against the rich who would be richer will go on, forever.

No matter what, the people of Wisconsin have already won, there's no going back.

I have always recognized this was personal for people in Wisconsin. Even though you state you regret the message was not pushed that Walker is a very bad person, Fitzgerald is a very bad person, and the control by corporations outside of the state is a very bad idea, that message must have pierced the veil because I personally got it from the beginning. I live in College Park, MD and I have been rooting for the people of Wisconsin with all of my heart and soul to achieve the overturn of these oppressive forces in their everyday lives. Tonight I watch the returns with total absorption because I feel as if for this night my soul is in Wisconsin standing right beside you guys. I am going to guess there are thousands out there just like me. Good luck.

With great sincerity,

Sam

PS A big Rec for your thread.

forced thousands of gradeschoolers through the trauma of unnecessary security screenings, and all this despite court orders to open the people's house back up.
