The Office of Rep. Tamara Grigsby (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement

regarding the representative’s recovery and her move out of intensive care:

“Over the course of the past week, Rep. Grigsby has made phenomenal progress in her medical recovery. Tamara has been released from intensive care and is being closely monitored under regular patient care. In addition, she is now able to breathe on her own and eat solid meals. Tests confirm that Tamara has suffered no brain damage. Rep. Grigsby has indicated she is not in pain and is determined to recover.

She made an appearance at a fund-raiser I went to this summer.

When it was her turn to say a few words, what stood out was
the impression she left that being a legislator in Madison this
past year was a constant, never-ending, daily struggle. One
thing after another. No rest, no letting down.

Just a lovely person, though. Hope and pray she makes a
quick, full and complete recovery.
