Wisconsin: More jobs lost due to "downturn in customer demand"

http://bloggingblue.com/2012/07/07/seriously-where-are-all-those-jobs-scott-walker-promised-us/

In other layoff-related news, Provimi Foods Inc. announced it will eliminate 50 jobs as it shuts down its kill floor and other operations at its meat-packaging plant in Seymour, which is near Green Bay. In announcing the layoffs, Provimi cited a downturn in customer demand.

Hmmm…..a “downturn in customer demand.” The idea that it’s consumers that stimulate the economy, not the so-called “job creators” sounds vaguely familiar, perhaps because we’ve discussed that very idea HERE and HERE.

When will Gov. Walker and his fellow Republican lawmakers wake up and realize that it’s not handouts and tax breaks to corporations that creates jobs – it’s a strong middle class?

They just don't care. They are bought and paid for by ALEC, Koch and the rest of the 1%. Citizen's United has given them all the money that they could ask for and unfortunately it appears to be working for them.

...good news for shutting down a "kill floor."

I used to work in a meat packing plant.

It's so nice being covered in blood at the end of the day...turned me into a vegetarian.

their former middle-class life-style.

Electing Rmoney would not change that. But you have to wonder as more and more job-transferring "free-trade" agreements are approved and signed in Washington, how many of the DC politicians really care. If they really cared, why would they approve of more "free trade" agreements and the extension of tax-breaks for the super-rich?
