It's Canada Day snd we have a thunder storm in Ottawa. I feel for

the crowds who were downtown. I was caught in a rainstorm on Parliament Hill when I was about 11. I was with cousins. Fortunately for us the huge Canada flag was wrapped in a huge piece of plastic and they let that go down onto the crowd below the Peace Tower. So some of us huddled under plastic in the rain. It was actually fun to get soaked in a crowd. But now that tornado alley has moved east thunder storms are more frequent and happen earlier in the year. They do the fireworks on the Ottawa River. I wonder if they will go ahead?

3. The fires are 500 miles north of Ottawa. I hope the rain wets the forest

there but it should be said most of the fires start because of lightening strikes. We have thunder right now so who knows?

(Later) oh great we have a tornado warning just south of Ottawa.

They are not big but seem to be in the paths of forest fires. Thankfully nobody has been killed by the fires though I think the smoke ups the death rate of vulnerable people when smoke blows into town, including cities in the US this summer. So sorry for that. Vibes that we get a break and some pure rain in northern canada for all of us but particularly for the most vulnerable.
