On Meta banning Canadian news from its social media because the government wants Canadian news sources see some profit from all the sharing online. Meta refused. They have already struck a deal with Australian media. Now Poilievre says:

Trump wannabe of the north doesn't like it when a healthy free press exposes his lies and holds him accountable.

They want to kill everything that serves the Canadian people, like the CBC and health care. Anything that won't affect the wealthy elite if it's gone, or actively gets in the way of furthering the wealthy elite's hegemony.
