I hadn't been to Lac Magentic in many years, but it was quite a beautiful town close to Maine's western border. Just a horrible, horrible accident. But an accident that reflects what happens when infrastructure repairs are delayed, adequate crews are reduced, and lax oversight occurs and puts profits over public safety. Kudos to The Globe and Mail for producing such a story online. It was so sad to read.
