Veterans in Ottawa to fight service cuts

Veterans took their case to Ottawa today to plead with Veterans Affairs Minister Julian Fantino not to close their local offices.

The federal government has already closed one office in Prince George, B.C., and plans to close eight more on Jan. 31.

"Why do we as veterans have to beg?" said Roy Lamore, a Second World War veteran from Thunder Bay, Ont.

Alban LeClair said he works with veterans in Prince Edward Island as a Royal Canadian Legion service volunteer.

Forget the headline. It is the Governments' headline by the government controlled talker. This is the equivalent of "Where's the beef?"
