Ottawa threatening hate charges against those who boycott Israel
Following closely behind the passage of C-51. Quelle surprise.
The Harper government is signalling its intention to use hate crime laws against Canadian advocacy groups that encourage boycotts of Israel. Such a move could target a range of civil society organizations, from the United Church of Canada and the Canadian Quakers to campus protest groups and labour unions. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ottawa-threatening-hate-charges-against-those-who-boycott-israel-1.3067497

1. And now it starts.
It took time to get his fascist framework into place, but here are the results.
He will demonize any and all he doesn't agree with, then attempt to make them criminals. |

4. And the Liberals are complicit
Harper's reign could so easily be terminated if the Liberals were actually the party they pretend to be. The recent results in the UK show just how pathetic members of these neo-liberal parties have become. They'd rather be lackeys to the ruling fascists than actually take a stand on anything themselves and risk losing their small privileges.

3. A boycott is a hate crime?
What odds Canada will free herself from the reign of this pig?

6. Naw, you only have to go back to 1670.

One of my favorite trial transcripts ever. My favorite of many exchanges in it: Mayor. That conscience of yours would cut my throat. Bush. No, my lord, it never shall. Mayor. But I will cut yours so soon as I can. Agreed, only a trial for unlawful assembly, not for hate speech, but their heart was in the right place. (Well worth the read if you can stand the language, it is hilarious) -- Mal |

I'll have to read it through later, but just skimming it, I've already found eerie similarities wrt head coverings.
