Anti Muslim protest outside mosque in Toronto tonight.

SNIP......

More than a dozen people gathered outside a mosque in the heart of downtown Toronto with loudspeakers and banners in hand, shouting slogans about banning Islam as Muslims gathered to pray inside.

The protest happened Friday outside Masjid Toronto on Dundas Street West near University Avenue.

The shouting was so loud that Tera Goldblatt, who works on the 21st floor in a nearby building, said she could hear it from inside her office.

When she came down to see what was going on, she said, she saw some 15 people screaming, some blocking the path of those trying to enter the mosque.

Doesn't faze me much. There are plenty of people expressing hatred toward Muslims online, but these twits cannot get much of a turnout when they require the gumption to stand there in person and be recognized as a bigot.

Would concern me more if the protesters numbered in the 100s or if they were physically violent. This media coverage, while justifiable, probably does more harm than good. Up to 15 people in a city of 2.6 million is such a drop in the bucket. They're probably glad to be getting press, but they don't deserve any.
