Eva Rausing 'found dead' in Belgravia home

One of the UK's richest women has been found dead in west London, the BBC understands.

The body of Eva Rausing, a member of the family behind the Tetra-Pak drink cartons empire, was reportedly found in a home in Cadogan Place, Belgravia.

The death is being treated as unexplained.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a 49-year-old man had been arrested in connection with her death and on suspicion of possession of drugs.

If you search around you will find that the Rausing's income was c. £10 MILLION a week. I gave no comprehension of wtf you do with that much money but not a lot when you're dead.

I like to think I'd take the first week's money for myself and spend the rest on trying to create a better world. In reality I think I'd piss it all away on beer.

(According to the article I found that stuff is $800 a bottle)

Then it has to be Scottish bullshitters Brewdog's "End Of History". If you can find one for sale then it will be well over £700. There is a bottle in a glass case in one of my favourite haunts, the Sheffield Tap.

And from what I've heard Brewdog's own chain of bars charge stupid rip-off prices for their beer as well.

That said, from what I've read I would expect harder substances then beer to behind Eva Rausing's death.

... I was expecting a reply along those lines from you.

Okay, I'll see your seven hundred quid bitter and raise you...

$765 a bottle and draped in roadkill. NoNot quite as expensive, but still the kind of tasteless tat that any nouveau riche would be desperate to pay over the odds for. To quote Not The Nine O'clock News, I'd rather be heamorrhaging.

....all I can think of is the Jack Russell terrier belonging to James Watt (co-owner of Brewpooch) being used for one of those bottles.

I have actually met Watt before and he's quite mild mannered in real life........until a journalist goes within a mile of him in which case the publicity mad bullshit starts. Brewdog decided from the very start that they would court controversy and use publicity stunts to sell their beer. It's worked for them, although it's become really quite tiresome by now.

I'm sure we can all think of entrepreneurs who would happily stuff a bottle of beer up their own grandmothers if they thought it would make a couple of quid.

It's hard to imagine a world without Tetra-Pak drink cartons.

Oh, sorry.

It isn't.
