2026 CO Statewide Elections can be an open seat elections in every office including the US Sente and
2026 is a midterm election with a Democratic President.
Governor Polis/Lt Governor Primavera/Secretary of State Griswold/Attorney General Weiser/Treasurer Young are term limited from seeking re-election to 3rd term.
US Senator Hickenlooper might retire.
If Hickenlooper decides not to seek re-election to 2nd term to the US Senate, Democrats best chance is Polis. If Polis does not run, Griswold should be the 2026 Democratic nominee for the US Senate and Weiser should be the 2026 Democratic nominee for Governor or Vice Versa.
Griswold and Weiser are 2 term statewide elected officials in CO that won in 2026 by a double digit margin.
