Having a Texan on the ticket certainly wouldn't hurt and he would likely be a very enticing VP pick for that very reason of helping flip TX or to keep it blue if it flips in 2024.

Sheldon Whitehouse and a strong Hispanic vp nominee will win in 2028.
But I doubt we will get that ticket.
