Why do I hear a spanish language radio station

playing faintly from my speakers? I heard a faint noise from the speakers connected to my laptop computer. When I put it up to my ear, it sounded like a Spanish radio station. I could not change the volume by adjusting the volume knob, it just played a faint blabbering, Spanish language with the typical radio personality sound. As soon as I opened my browser, it stopped. Since I do not use mind altering substances other than wine, and I don't have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, why would this happen?

I will let you know if I am running it. I'm probably not, since I lack executive leadership abilities.

I do still hear Spanish music playing in the background while I am watching "Trial and Retribution" on Netflix. No, it is no part of the soundtrack. Has anyone else had problems of this sort? Any help with this problem may or may not be appreciated.

Something just on netflix: Watch a few different things, there may be an ad on the page with music. Stupid to do that on a website where you are watching something, I know, but it's happened to me before. An ad-block or java fix would be the way to go.

Something in your browser: surf elsewhere, here may be an annoying pop-up/pop-under you haven't noticed. a good AV/spyware clear-out should see it off.

Something weird in windows: Boot up fully, but stay off the internet, see if there's anything. God knows what, but it'll help narrow it down.

Interference in the hardware: Try switching everything on, but leave you computer at the BIOS screen (usually, hitting delete in the firt few seconds does this). If you hear music, try moving things around, including the speaker wires.

Good luck...

This only happens sporadically. Not sure if it's worth going to school to learn to solder a capacitor on my $25.00 set of speakers. At least now I know I'm not hearing voices.

If a trucker was driving by and they were using their CB, I would hear it.

Even if the computer was off. If I failed to turn off the speakers it would just play the radio talk. Scared the crap out of me a few times.

The solution was to get rid of the cheap speakers. An extra $10 on a set of speakers solved the problem.

My best guess is someone is broadcasting nearby.
