A couple of problems............

1. How do i get rid of all the adware that keeps popping up. I go to a site, say for shoes, then all of a sudden all these ads show up for shoes at different sites.

2. My firewall keeps shutting down. I get advised and I turn it back on and then within an hour it shuts off again.

Thanks.

Since I've added it to Facebook, there are ZERO ads.

And it's free.

I'm sorry I can't help you with your firewall problem. I hope someone who can will be along shortly.

Good luck!

The reason why I ask is, Windows has a software firewall built in. I'll wait for your answer.

I would not run Windows Firewall and a router. If you run your router firewall, it will protect you if properly configured. I only run my Linksys router firewall and turn off my Windows firewall.

Now, I have read some people say if you are really concerned about trojans getting on your system and "dialing home", to run a software firewall in addition. Again, if Chrome corrects me, I will accede to his superior knowledge.
