Deleting Camera Roll Photos on an iPhone5

Another reason I have a Galaxy Android.
There is no "delete all" function on the iPhone pictures. I need to hand select them individually.
Holy Cow! I'm trying to delete over 1,000 pics from my wife's iPhone and NO simple way.
Oh I can go through iTunes but its complicated so screw it and I just gave up.

What a cluster.

Still don't get it.

I've always hated iTunes. Now even more. This whole "sync" thing is way too much for such a simple task.
