I use the firefox browser

Last edited Mon Jan 25, 2016, 04:50 PM - Edit history (1)

are there apps/extentions that can turn off basically everything on webpages?

I'm talking about pages that have tons of videos that auto start and scripts that don't work that force me to close the browser and re-open it.

Let's get this out of the way, no my problem is not with porn sites.

It's with sites like J post.

Thanks!

ETA: Thanks everyone.

and came up with this:

There are other sites that have the same basic information. Hope this (or one of the others) works for you.

ETA: I did the equivalent thing in my browser and it turned off all animations - even the ones I wanted to see (e.g., Youtube). I was able to specify sites on which I wanted to permit animation. This cut down on the annoying animation and increased my browser reload tremendously.

that kill off some rather nasty redirector pages that have contaminated a website I frequent. Such a thing would be impossible using almost any browser other than Firefox.

I refuse to use either IE or Chrome. I also refuse to use any web based email interface because privacy and security there is nonexistent. Microsoft at least knew what they were doing when they created Outlook- a program I sometimes wonder if they now regret making.
