Help posting website link to twitter

So I have a blog and I want to post a link in a tweet to the latest post I have just done.

When I post a link in a tweet it just comes up with txt.

I see most people who tweet out a website they include a graphic from the website that you click on
to go to that website.

How the heck do I do that??

I use the drop down menu in the top right corner of the tweet.

I choose the "Copy link to Tweet" option.

Not sure what happens differently if you choose the "Embed Tweet" option.
