Help with Facebook

My wife spends a lot of time on Facebook (not politically, although she is political). She uses her tablet for all of her Facebook time. Recently Facebook and/or Android did something and now she can only get 'Facebook Mobile' which she hates.

Does anyone know how to jigger a tablet to go to regular Facebook instead of Facebook Mobile?

when I googled "how to change from Facebook mobile." Maybe you'll find the answer that way. Seems to have to do with settings.

I've tried every suggestion I could find and Facebook insists on going back to mobile. Guess she's stuck with it.

If Chrome is not helping with the "request desktop site", I would try a different browser like FireFox.

The m. gets added even if you manually put in the www. right?

9. User-Agent Switcher for Google Chrome

When you browse a website using any web browser a user agent string is read from your browser so it can determine how to render the page. A website may decide to display a mobile version of the site or a version that is specific to Android.

Overview

User-Agent Switcher for Google Chrome switches between different user-agents.
This extension adds a button to switch between user-agents.

Browse with our predefined user-agents or add your own user-agents.

User-Agent Switcher is primarily for developers who want to test how a page responds to different browsers. User-Agent switcher may also be used to reach certain pages that allows a particular browser.

You can change User-Agent back to default when you are done.

This extension also changes the javascript based "navigator userAgent"

How do I completely remove Google Chrome?

1.On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.
2.Click the Start menu Control Panel.
3.Click Add or Remove Programs.
4.Click Google Chrome.
5.Click Remove.
6.To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and history, check "Also delete your browsing data."
7.Click Uninstall.

I hate the forced "Mobile View" too!

11. Sounds like a stubborn cookie is involved.

I'm not familiar with how-to on tablets, but when a site is stubborn it is usually due to browser storage.

Have her log out of FB. Find the cookies related to FB and delete them. Try again.

If that doesn't work she may need to delete all temporary files in her browser etc.
