Guys, I have always used a desktop. Now I have my first laptop. The cursor just insanely hops to

some godawful corner of the screen and my characters that I type are in the wrong place. Is there a Ctrl + key that will put it back. I can't even find the darn thing most of the time. Have to type a few spaces to find it. I am 66 years old and this aint easy. Is there a list of shortcut keys for Yahoo email? Thanks in advance.

I used to find that I would touch it and the cursor would fly!
Check your manual. Usually there is a setting under Control Panel, Mouse, to turn off TouchPad. Unless of course you use it.

As far as making the mouse move back to a 'home' position on a web page... I don't know of one.

If you are inside of a BOX on a web page (like the one you just typed your post into), Ctrl + Home always takes you to the first typing position in the text box.

Hope this helps!

but that gets annoying as hell after a while.

When my sight was a lot worse than it is now, I downloaded a bunch of cursors that would allow me to change the color and/or shape of the arrow. That was a big help. Microschlock mouse programs also allow you to hit Ctrl and a target flashes where the mouse cursor is. That's another big help.

Lousy eyesight sucks. There are work arounds for computers but it takes a little searching to find them.

and tap it when the screen reverts to desktop just as I'm getting ready to type something. It's a little more convenient than having to go back and jiggle the mouse to get the window back.
