Some cool folks just got Netflix working in Linux!

If you've got Ubuntu, just follow the link and follow the instructions there to install a package that Just Worked for me. There are some minor glitches (sometimes the frame rate is choppy for me,) but for the first time, Netflix works in Linux.

The trick is to use a patched up version of WINE that can run the DRM in Microsoft Silverlight, and thus decrypt the movie stream.

Between this and the ongoing work from Valve to bring games to Linux, I'm running out of reasons to stick with Microsoft!
