A guy named Sober was busted

I think you can guess for what

A Pennsylvania man named Sober was arrested for...well, you know where this is going.

Daniel Sober, 44, was busted Saturday evening for drunk driving following a police stop near his home in Lower Burrell, a Pittsburgh suburb.

pulled over at first. He and his wife had been drinking at our Eagles Lodge and he was following her home. Drunks seem to think that helps sometimes.

She gets pulled over just a few houses from her driveway, and her husband goes by and pulls in and parks at their house. At that point, he should have went in and refused to answer the door if the cops came up. Instead he thinks he can help his wife somehow, and goes over there and says that! He's obviously drunk and they just watched him drive by, so he gets a DUI too.

4. I think the problem was that his wife is meaner than cat shit! Not all that smart either.

She probably would not have understood that he did the smart thing, saving them thousands of dollars and all the hassle of a second DUI.

brother on the other hand was forced to stop driving because of the drinking (had to at one time blow into some kind of breath-analyzer to even get the car started).

And this is amazing to me, in that they are fighting against the legalization of pot, vs. a lot of work that they need to do in cutting down the number of drunk drivers, and reducing the impact of alcohol. Can't stand the stuff even though I make wine at home (I guess when you have so much of the stuff around and smell it constantly, you kind of lose the appeal of it ... I did and don't miss it one bit).

By the way, he did lose his license temporarily, but not permanently.

I, honestly, can’t remember the last time I had a hangover. At this time the most drinking I’ll do is when my wife & I dine out AND never at home, is to have one, usually an ice cold draught beer. Coors Light, thank you. To me the second doesn’t go down like the first. I like the taste of beer!

Back in the mid 80’s I did a lot of “one eyed driving.” It was only through luck, or Grace of God,” if you will, I was never pulled over. I always watched my speed and made sure I kept in my lane, used signals, etc. Most of those times I also would use cannabis while drinking.

Drinking & driving is something I’d never do again!
