Iowa man chases gopher with lawn mower

Some good ol Iowa weirdness;

The Mason City Globe Gazette says an officer was dispatched Tuesday morning to check a report that a man was damaging his neighbors' lawns.

The man was spotted outside his home, where he reported that he'd deployed his lawn mower in the pursuit of the pesky gopher. The officer told the man to stay inside his own home until he sobered up.

1. I will chase a snake across the lawn with my lawn mower

And those pesky gophers, I am having a personal war with them right now. I have seen them digging in the garden and my wifes flowers. They dig the plant up and leave it lay on top of the ground. You open the back door to the house and they all take off running.

Can't use the poison for these critters, the dog might accidentally catch one. Next step though is mouse traps in the garden and flower bed.

2. I snipe them from the 2nd floor of my house with a pellet gun

I think I wiped them out last summer; I killed 20 in 2012 and only one so far this year.
