She didn't let her get one inch and just called out her pivot at the end.

(51,697 posts)Love how she didn't let Nina Turner get away with implying Hillary supporters "shot up" a Sanders office. Turns out the police didn't even find any bullet casings let alone figure out who fired the shots. And she debunked Turner's claim that there was no violence by noting Turner was not at the convention the whole time, and a man raising a chair above his head in a threatening manner, as seen in a video that has been circulated, can certainly be considered violent.

(2,542 posts)We have violence by Sanders supporters on video, but they want to talk about some other incident instead, which they have zero evidence to link to anyone from the Clinton campaign. His campaign office was "shot up" (although no bullet was found, which makes their claim highly improbable) and an apartment was robbed. How does that trace back to the Clinton campaign? The reality is that it doesn't, and the Sanders campaign is clearly desperate for some kind of offsetting incident, which they don't have because what they are citing is simply not comparable. This is open dishonesty by both Sanders and his surrogates.
Not just that, but how does Sanders, supposedly Mr Principles, justify violence from his supporters by citing violence by others?? Violence is supposed to be unacceptable no matter what, but this just seems to be another rule that Bernie and his supporters think doesn't apply to them somehow.
I've never been more disgusted by the Sanders campaign than I have this week. He's a fraud, exposed.

(1,580 posts)What seems to be missing in these cases is the difference between everyday supporters and delegates. Delegates who are acting in a capacity for Sanders and for his campaign. Like an employee acting for his/her employer. The delegate in that is acting for Sanders in an official capacity and therefore should be held to a higher standard.

I don't think Hillary would have let her loose on the TV - loose cannon.

(67,782 posts)...being "shot up" is old news that was dismissed by the police way back in January.
So, there was a hole in a window at Sanders' campaign office. Apparently it was an old hole and NO bullet was found inside the office. It's likely that the hole was there when Sanders' people moved in. It could even have been a hole from a stone thrown by a passing truck. The important thing is that the police found NO crime.
People don't understand how campaign offices are leased and operated. Since they're very temporary (only a month or two), they're generally vacant offices that are awaiting permanent tenant. I've been involved in dozens of "campaign office" uses, they're filthy, run down, shabby, and not well maintained - the landlords generally won't refurbish them for a 1-2 month tenant, but will when they find a permanent tenant.
We've rented spaces with no heat, broken plumbing, holes in the walls, etc. but it's no big deal - we're not there to live or run a business, we're there for a few hours a day and a few days a week and generally from a month or two before an election or primary until the day after the vote. We're obligated to vacate the space immediately after the vote.
And usually the rent is very cheap because to the landlord, having us there is a "bonus" while they're soliciting permanent tenants.
So, no doubt that bullet hole was already there and would be fixed once a permanent tenant is found.
More BS bs.

(5,057 posts)Has destroyed what's left of her political career. She's terrible as a pundit, mean spirited as a spokesperson, and apparently willing to throw the Democratic Party under the bus.

(15,224 posts)I like real journalism, not fluff pieces. At least here, Tamron Hall is forcing Nina Turner to answer questions and not allowing her to fluff it off.
So many times, I hear a journalist ask a direct question, the person being asked the question gives an answer that is totally unrelated to the question, much less an answer to the question, and nothing more is said.
We need to get back to journalists being journalists!!!!
