First problem: He can use Bernie's call for deep military spending cuts as "proof" Bernie wants to destroy the United States.

Second problem: In light of Bernie's Spend Money like a Drunken Sailor campaign platform, he can claim Bernie wants to endanger the US so he can give more free stuff to people who don't deserve it.

Third problem: Bernie voted for the F-35. He will sell Bernie as two-faced.

....the opposition can google just like I can...finding information and past records is easy and to run an ad campaign against bernie would make the swiftboating of Kerry look like child's play....wide eyed zealots don't comprehend....they are not the group that elect presidents...its the 10-15% of the middle that do...and this stuff would scare the jesus out of them and no way they would vote for sanders

Located in VT, bringing home the bacon, a program with severe cost overruns and so far over $1 trillion.

LockheedMartin, which makes the F-35 Albatross, is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. The factory they make the plane in, is in Texas. Nothing in this plane is made in the senator's home state. Vermont has the first F-35 unit. The Pentagon has talked about buying a second engine for this thing from General Electric (the engine they use now is made in Connecticut), and if that happened Vermont could profit because GE has an aviation engine factory in Vermont.
