sanders supported sending low level nuclear waste to a poor latino community

imagine this guy who has framed himself as a champion of the environment....how would the GOP use this against berie???

In 1994, Sanders co-sponsored a bill that would have allow low-level nuclear waste from Vermont to be shipped to the poor Latino community of Sierra Blanca, Texas.

Be kinda hard for Trump to use since he himself called Latinos rapists. It was kinda unforgettable.

And that's probably one of the reasons they won't release their tax returns.

Influence seems to be front and center with Sanders.

I would say, "Do the math," but we all know how the Sanders family feels about that.

taking it from getting very little attention to bringing it to the Senate floor where it was vigorously debated and attacked. Senator Wellstone ultimately prevailed getting a LOT of media attention for this law. What's not as well-known is that the Texas-Vermont-Maine Nuclear Waste Compact was one of the few bills sponsored by U.S. Rep. Sanders.

Had opposing posts in the GDP about this. She posted that Clinton signed it into law. I posted, since most laws end up on the President's desk if there were any other bills that Sanders actively supported that she wanted to pass credit (responsibility) on. Sponsor is a better word. They are honestly trying to pass this off on Clinton.

....that determined the location(s) for the toxic waste. I'm not sure if she was on it when that decision was made, but the sole purpose of the board is to find locations in Texas to send Vermont and Maine toxic waste. It's called "The Texas Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission".
