New Mexico Democratic Polls: State Likely a Lock for Hillary Clinton

Published 9:33 am EDT, June 6, 2016 Updated 9:33 am EDT, June 6, 2016 By Brendan Morrow

New Mexico will hold its presidential primary on Tuesday, the same day primaries are held in California, New Jersey, Montana and South Dakota.

Thus far, the state appears to be a lock for Hillary Clinton. The democratic candidate holds an impressive lead in polls, and the fact that the state is a closed primary works in her favor. This means that only those who are registered as Democrats may vote on Tuesday, and in the past Bernie Sanders has generally lost many Independent votes during these closed systems. Clinton is also ahead with Hispanic, a group that makes up a significant percentage of New Mexico’s voters.

I haven't seen any recent NM public polls.

I'll be very happy if HRC wins NJ, NM and California.
