How you get to reshape the Democratic Party? You win the nomination!

What is more important?

To re-frame the party platform (which no one will care about one week after the convention.)

OR

To ensure that there is still a Democrat in the White House after President Obama moves out
And to ensure that the Supreme Court is run by liberal justices for the next 20 years
And to ensure that Obama care isn't repealed
and to ensure that women have dominion over their own bodies
And to ensure that Wall Street isn't given permission to ruin the economy again.
And to ensure that a thin skinned, narcissistic demagogue isn't making war/peace and economic decisions and doesn't have his finger on the nuclear button.
And etc.
Etc.

Endorse or don't endorse, I don't care - but get your priorities straight and don't cause a useless floor fight at the convention. Don't make it more difficult for your remaining supporter to support the nominee. Don't tear the party apart while trying to reshape it.

To be a real "progressive", one has to reject all notions of incremental change and try to eat the whole steak in one bite even if you choke and die from it. One bite at a time is almost "republican.

During the Bush years, and even into the Obama administration, (and to some.this day) I learned that I was a radical feminist-the radicalist kind of feminist--even though I always considered myself a liberal feminist. And a Democrat. Now, apparently I am the next thing to a republican, even though I still consider myself to be a liberal feminist. And a Democrat.

I wish people would make up their minds. How will I know where I stand with all these well informed opinions giving me conflicting messages?

some people have moved the boundary between republicans and democrats to the extreme left.

Just as the tea party moved the boundary to the extreme right and accuse main-stream republicans of being liberal.

You say it with an air of authoritarianism that is almost "republican."

....of insuring that a Democrat occupies the White House for at least the next 4 years to insure that we continue to make progress towards our goals instead of having what progress we have made wiped away.

They have just assigned a much higher priority to ensuring "revolution" continues despite the fact that their champion lost the nomination by every conceivable measure. Nothing is more important to them then the "revolution".

115. Surely you must have read about what Bernie has been trying to get put into

the Democratic Convention plan -- these proposals are for the benefit of the 99%.
That's you and me. Trump is against most of them. Bernie is already trying to
defeat Trump, wouldn't you say? Trump is for Trump. Bernie is doing what he
can for the 99% of Americans.

What does it matter what's on the platform if we don't work to ensure that Trump is defeated?

Many tried telling them that, but the conversation gets circular, they circle & go back to that important platform!

obviously they consider the "revolution" a higher priority than beating Trump, at least for the time being.
