#HillaryMen: GOP "He-Man" Taunts Are Foolhardy Compared to Hillary's Command of Foreign Policy

On Hardball, Chris Matthews recapped the latest GOP debate, airing a series of wild comments from Republican candidates that betray a dangerous combination of ignorance and arrogance.

From Trump insisting he’ll “humanely” deport 11 million men, women and children at gunpoint, to Ben Carson claiming he’ll “easily” take Iraq’s oil fields, the world must be laughing at the uninformed bluster of the Republican field.

Meanwhile Hillary Clinton, a seasoned and respected global figure, continues to work her way toward the Democratic nomination. With each new and unhinged word that comes out of Republican mouths, it becomes clearer that America is in urgent need of Hillary’s leadership and experience.

At Slate, Josh Keating lists The 11 Looniest Foreign Policy Lines of the Debate. Here’s a sample:

* Ben Carson:

"Well, putting the special ops people in [Syria] is better than not having them there because they—that's why they're called special ops, they're actually able to guide some of the other things that we're doing there."

No, that’s not why they’re called that.

* Donald Trump:

"The TPP is a horrible deal, a deal that is going to lead to nothing but trouble. It's a deal that was designed for China to come in, as they always do, through the back door, and totally take advantage of everyone."

As my colleague Jordan Weissmann notes, China is not part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

* Chris Christie:

"One last thing, I will tell you this, China is building the artificial islands in the South China Sea, and the president won't—up until recently wouldn't sail a ship within 12 miles or fly a plane over it. The first thing I'll do is I'll fly Air Force One over the islands."

And pop a wheelie on the DMZ!

* Jeb Bush:

"If you're a Christian, increasingly in Lebanon or Iraq or Syria, you're going to be beheaded."

Christians are 40 percent of Lebanon's population.

The Republican primary is a giant clown show, a traveling circus of cartoonish ideas and foolhardy pronouncements. Even for experienced political hands who have seen their share of strange elections, the 2016 cycle is bizarre.

It would be amusing if it weren’t so dangerous.

We’re working as hard as we can to help get Hillary into the White House and avoid the global mockery that would ensue from electing one of the current Republican candidates, not to mention the very real risks that come with their outlandish ideas....

knows what is not going on in the world. This is shameful, we have candidates who wants to run this country and don't have a clue what they are talking about. It was probably the best debate ever on FOX this morning.

These GOP candidates are obviously too stupid to think for themselves. They just want to be figureheads, like Reagan.
