Clinton vs Trump

The way-too-early GE polling report on Clinton vs Trump is below.

The hilarity ensues over at GD-P about how Trump will beat Hillary. The current evidence doesn't suggest that.

As you can see, Clinton has a lead in all but one poll.

Polls this early aren't reliable anyway--I think HRC will easily defeat Trump WI_DEM Feb 2016 #3

The only reason we think it's way too early is because we're not sure Trump will get the nomination. George II Feb 2016 #7

Did you see last night's debate? Lord. They looked like petulant children. They were yelling at each other and screaming "LIAR!".

Put any of those goobers up against Hillary and they look like fools.

... and that smarmy little sarcastic shithead might play well with his supporters, but he will look like, well, a smarmy little sarcastic shithead when he comes up against Hillary, and a lot of his supporters will feel rather stupid.

But I'm not so sure now.

If he doesn't it will be because of a contested convention. Then, all bets are off. He will run as a third party candidate just to screw them.

And Trump has not really been vetted. Wait until the media pressures him into releasing his tax records. Wait until Democrats start talking about his many business failures and dirty dealings. wait until he finally gets hit on immigration and other issues from the left, not the right.

Hillary, meanwhile, has been vetted for more than 25 years.
