Virginia Exit Poll Results: Democrats Want Obama Policies Continued

According to early results of the NBC News Exit Poll, a strong majority of Virginia Democrats casting primary votes say that the next president should continue President Barack Obama's policies. About six in 10 Democrats indicated they want Obama's policies continued.

In contrast, about one in three would like the next president to advance policies that are more liberal than Obama's positions, a policy path strongly advocated by Bernie Sanders. Fewer than one in 10 Virginia Democrats want the next president to advance policies that are less liberal than the current administration's positions.
