Check this out...
No matter how you voted today, do you usually think of yourself as a:
Democrat 69%
Clinton 57%
Sanders 41%
Uncommitted 2%
Republican 3%
Clinton 0%
Sanders 0%
Uncommitted 0%
Independent or something else 28%
Sanders 70%
Clinton 28%
Uncommitted
I'd be pretty interested to see how those Republicans voted too...

(8,003 posts)Remember all those states that Obama lost in 2008? He still won the nomination. And whether Bernie supporters like them or not, the super delegates DO count.

(879 posts)Florida is closed.
North Carolina is semi-closed (means no Republicans, but Independents).
Ohio is semi-open (means you have to declare which party, versus open, which means you just pick which race to vote for).
Illinois and Missouri are open.

(11,588 posts)and seen as not part of the "establishment" parties. This is a group that tends to favor both Sanders and Trump, though both candidates are more establishment than they let on.
An example: Trump breaks his own arm patting himself on the back for not letting "special interests" fund his campaign--he "funds" himself...or so he says. First of all, he is 100% special interests--his own! Trump International! He is a brand! He is a business of the worst kind. Secondly, he may claim he is funding himself but he is relying on his celebrity to garner all the free publicity he can. The media may as well call itself "Trump 24/7."
