OMG I think I was right a lil (this morning) ab MI/Dems and Kasich!?

"To any Michigan Hillary supporters who are crossing over to vote for Kasich as the anti-Trump because they assume she has it in the bag on the Dem side:

1. If enough of you do so, she *won't* have it in the bag.

2. Remember, MI is proportional, so even if she still wins, the margin of the win makes a difference as well.

3. Be careful what you wish for. Remember that Kasich would likely be much tougher in the general than Trump.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it anyway, just keep all of that in mind if you do so.

Note also that I'm not saying this as a slam on Bernie; if he wins the state and/or the nomination, that's fine with me and I'll support him 100%; I just want people to make sure to think through the ramifications before doing the "vote strategically" thing."

I just keep meeting Dems in MI who say Hillary has the primary locked, so they cast anti-Trump votes for Kasich."

this morning was surprised that Kasich did so well as compared to how he did in other States. He almost tied 2nd place with Cruz. Someone reminded me that he is from neighbor State of Ohio, so there is that.

more of a boost so that he could lead into Ohio with some visible momentum.

But I think that it is very safe to say that, however he does in Ohio, he still will not finish well overall. In one sense, that's good. He may be the least insane of the bunch and, as such, more palatable to the GOPer PTB. Some think that he would, in fact, have been the most difficult Republican to beat as such.

But his views are still VERY RW, IMO. Given the damage ANY GOPer could do in the WH, I will be glad to see his candidacy bite the dust, as it likely will fairly soon after next Tuesday. Then we'll see which of the crazies we are left with, but it's more likely than not going to be Trump and Cruz.

Much as I detest Trump for ... everything, it is Cruz that I find to be the most physically repellent. The Donald is a caricature of a human being. Cruz embodies malevolence and the aura literally trails behind him.

One bright thing: those Republicans I know who are sane have said that while they may not be able to bring themselves actually to vote for the Dem candidate, they absolutely cannot vote for either Trump or Cruz. If they actually carry through with what they say now, it's almost as good as a vote FOR.

want to run against Cruz, not Trump?

By people like you I just mean any liberal or Democrat.

I havent paid attention to the polls as closely as others.

My idea is that it is easier to beat Cruz than Trump in the GE no matter which candidate is on the Democratic side, is that your thought too?

Cruz would get the evangelical vote, and possibly a lot of Catholics, and some Latinos. Trump will get none of those.
