CBS Polls--Florida (excellent) Ohio (Ok) Illinois (close)

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton has a big lead in Florida, 62 percent to 34 percent, and a smaller lead in Ohio, 52 to 43. But Bernie Sanders leads narrowly in Illinois, 48 to 46, coming off his surprise win in Michigan last week.

This poll pretty much backs up the NBC polls released earlier today in Florida. However, NBC gave HRC a 20-point lead while CBS gives her a 9-point lead in Ohio. NBC has HRC up by 5 in Illinois and this one has her down by 2.

I have a feeling that the CBS poll (particularly re: Ohio) is more accurate. Illinois looks like it will be a squeaker--no matter who wins.

In Illinois he is leading among white voters and is supported by almost one quarter of African Americans. In Illinois Sanders leads Clinton on the metric of being honest and trustworthy, and is helped by a majority of voters wishing to switch to more progressive policies than those of the Obama administration.

HRC is taking the African-American vote 70-24 in IL and by a five point margin. However, they have African-American turnout pegged at only 14%--It was 23% in 2008.

with the NBC polls. Close in Illinois. No clue where this move came from, but if multiple polls report it, it's likely they are picking up some movement that direction.

Sanders has been associating Clinton with Rahm and bludgeoning her with it. A friend says she doesn't see any Clinton ads on TV, but lots of Sanders ads and signs. He's outspending her there, I think.

because they are really the swing states in any election in November. North Carolina is also a very competitive state in November. Missouri favors the GOP and Illinois is usually in the Democratic column and I have no doubt it will be for either HRC or Bernie.
