He could--nothing to stop him from running for VP, but doubt he would want to.

I actually do prefer a younger running mate. We need to be thinking of the future and we need to begin to develop a successor to President Hillary Clinton for 2024. I still like Julian Castro.
That is my thoughts as well.....he has been a great VP the past 8 years .....

Hillary doesn't need the experience boost and I don't see that the centrist cred would be an advantage, considering *perceptions* this time around.
And he doesn't really strengthen the ticket geographically or demographically.

Clinton and Sanders (and Trump, for that matter) are both older than the last three presidents, and while 70 is the new 60, we do need a younger VP just in case. We also need someone from outside New England, preferably from a swing state.
