HRC vows to take on the gun lobby if she is elected

MILWAUKEE (Wisconsin Radio Network) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says she’ll take on the gun lobby if elected. She took part in a “Community Forum on Gun Violence Prevention” at Milwaukee’s Tabernacle Baptist Church

“There are a lot of powerful lobbies, don’t get me wrong. Wall Street, drugs, big oil. There’s lots of powerful lobbies. Nothing is more powerful than the gun lobby,” Clinton said.

Clinton pledged to push for tougher background checks on prospective gun purchasers, and decried the lack of liability enjoyed by manufacturers and retailers. “Gun makers and sellers are immune from liability because of a law I voted against, President Obama voted against when he was in the Senate, (and) my opponnant voted for.”

Wisconsin Congresswoman Gwen Moore says there were 125 gun homicides in the city of Milwaukee last year. “The most victims: African American. Sixty-one percent of those killed were under the age of 30, and last year 9 people under the age of 18 died from this gun violence.”

The gun-nuts hate her anyway. If she never uttered a word about gun safety they'd still scream that she's wants to take their guns away.
