Sanders emails?

I am getting emails from the Sanders campaign.

I have been a DU member a long time and clearly a Hillary supporter this cycle.
I cannot imagine where they got my email unless it was from
DU.

Do you think DU gave out email addresses and should I complain?

1. I doubt it was DU that gave you that info.

Given the campaign's track record, they probably stole it from somewhere.

5. Ever since Bernie stole the data from the DNC I have been getting berniebegging emails....

About a month after the theft it started. Maybe we should get a few thousand people together and sue Bernie. He should have plenty of $$$ in his pocket when he goes back to Vermont and his Senate seat.

6. I donated to Obama's campaign in 2008 and 2012

I get email from the Sanders campaign almost every day.

They keep asking for a $3 donation. Maybe that's to drag down the average to $27.

I get plenty from the DNC and LCV, but none from the Clinton campaign yet. I live in California, so maybe they are waiting until closer to our primary.

7. "Coincidentally" (sarcastically speaking) I started getting emails from the Sanders campaign....

.....the day after the data breach of the DNC system in December.

The emails have come from a variety of Sanders supporters as well as him, all under the domain DemocracyForAmerica (i.e., [e-mail]) It's gotten to the point where I'm getting four or five a day.

I have two problems with that:

First, they probably got my email address when they were trolling through Clinton's contact lists on the DNC servers. There is no other way they could have gotten my email address, and they started the day after the breach.

Second, the Sanders campaign claims they don't have any SuperPacs and don't coordinate with them. However, DFA is a form of "PAC". If the Sanders campaign is sending out emails via a third party like DFA, they they DO have a "SuperPac" or at least are allowing a SuperPac to campaign for them, and from the volume of emails they're sending out, a lot of money is being spent on their campaign by outside sources.

So I suspect it came from party information.

9. It is possible I posted on another Dem site once ot twice

I also gave to the Obama campaign,so I guess that is a possibility.

I certainly didn't share the email with any pro Sanders address.

12. I get Clinton emails all the time. Maybe you have to have made a donation, or signed up at the....

official campaign site? Not sure how that works, but since I make regular donations, I just assume that's why I'm on the mailing list.
