Cuba delegate reports 'civilized' talks on rights with US

HAVANA

A Cuban delegate to talks with the United States says the two sides have held "a respectful, professional, civilized conversation" on human rights in Washington.

Nevertheless, Anaysansi Rodriguez Camejo told Cuban state television that Tuesday's talks "ratified that there are differences."

She's Cuba's ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva and a member of the delegation holding a series of talks with the U.S. on restoring diplomatic relations after a 50-year freeze.

Neither side gave details of Tuesday's session.
