Cuba culture festival to open in Seoul

The Cuba culture festival will take place in Seoul from June 26 to July 5 as part of cultural exchanges between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the festival, diverse cultural events, including a jazz concert, the Cuba film festival and a seminar on the national film industry will be held.
The festival is a bid to facilitating cultural cooperation between the two countries, the ministry said. Alfred Ruiz, director-general of the external affairs division of the culture ministry of Cuba, will visit Korea for the first time. He will lead the Cuban government delegation.
Renowned Cuban jazz band Albertico Lescay & Foras and artists Ana Meneses and Yoerlis Brunet will perform during the jazz concert slated for June 26.
