What does "No hay comida" mean?

I think it means, "I have nothing to eat".

But the apologists don't care that Venezuelans are dying.
Newborns are dying at a rate similar to backwater third-world countries because things like antibiotics, formula and diapers have disappeared.
Diabetics cannot get insulin. No aspirin. No sterile gauze. Needles "resharpened and resterilizied".
It takes 15 "minimum wages" just to purchase the typical food basket.

But its Chavismo. Its OK, because this Venezuelan dictator is a dictator "for the people"?
