El Salvador Adds Another Success in Crusade against Illiteracy

San Salvador, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) El Salvador has declared two new municipalities free of illiteracy, totaling 72 the demarcations of this Central American nation where the population knows how to read and write thanks to solidarity.

The municipalities of San Pedro Masahuat and Santa Catarina Masahuat meet literacy standards, achieved thanks to the commitment of the Salvadoran government with the advice of Cuban pedagogues.

Salvadoran Deputy Minister of Education, Francisco Castaneda considers that educated people reconvert their history, are more productive, safe and respectful of the laws, and coexistence is better.

That is why he urged Salvadorans to fight to declare the country free of illiteracy in 2019, because guaranteeing the right to education transforms the life of those who never had the change to be educated.
