Maduro changes the dates of Easter celebrations, offers more bribes to faithful Chavistas

Maduro advances the carnivals for February 28

translated from Spanish

President Nicolás Maduro announced the carnival on Wednesday from February 28.

From a rally in Miranda state, Maduro decreed holidays on Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1.

"I declare national holiday days on February 28 and March 1, to extend the joy festival of Carnival. And the bond of the card of the country that is paid on February 27,"added the president.

That being the case, the holiday would be almost one week from Thursday 28 until Tuesday 5 March.

Why not? Nothing is getting done anyway. Everyone gets paid their 18 cents (the days wages for everyone), and gets a few extra days to wallow around in more unproductivity that is the hallmark of Chavismo.

I'm just waiting for Maduro to dictate that Easter (resurrection of Jesus Christ for Christians) is now observed to be the worship of Chavez instead.
