Supreme court justice compares risk to democracy with Hitlers Germany as Congress Speaker mulls impeachment proceedings

Prominent Brazilians from across the political spectrum have launched a manifesto urging officials to shield the country from its increasingly authoritarian president Jair Bolsonaro and the fallout from his dismissive approach to the coronavirus crisis.
As Brazils official Covid-19 death toll surpassed that of France on Saturday, the Movimento Estamos Juntos (We Are Together Movement) published its manifesto in multiple newspapers, with 1,600 initial signatories pledging to put aside political divisions to resist Mr Bolsonaro.
Over 100,000 people have now put their names to the document, which urges elected officials to set aside old disputes and mobilise in defence of life, freedom and democracy, demanding leaders exercise their role with dignity in the face of the devastating health, political and economic crisis.
The following day, Mr Bolsonaro rode on horseback with his supporters to protest against Congress and the Supreme Court, which is investigating his interference in police affairs.
His fury was compounded last week after several of his key supporters homes were raided over alleged libel and intimidation campaigns, prompting Mr Bolsonaro to make an expletive-laden appearance outside his residence wearing a tie decorated with assault rifles.

OP
You've got that right. Bolsonaro also hates women, like Trump, and insults them.

I'm really trying to keep an eye on what's transpiring in Brazil in case there is something we can learn from how Brazilians are handling Bolsonaro. There are uncanny paralells.

When he was a member of their legislature, he picked a fight with a female collegue, which kicked off controversy in Brazil, here's a short description, from the Guardian:
Brazilian congressman ordered to pay compensation over rape remark

A Brazilian judge has ordered a conservative Brazilian congressman to pay a colleague more than $2,500 for saying she wasnt worth raping.
Judge Tatiana Dias da Silva ordered Jair Bolsonaro to pay Maria do Rosario 10,000 reals ($2,560) for saying last December in a newspaper interview that she is not worth raping; she is very ugly.
One day before the interview, Bolsonaro said on the floor of congress that Rosario had called him a rapist in 2003, adding that he would not rape her because she didnt deserve it.
Lawmakers in Brazil enjoy parliamentary immunity, which protects their speech, opinions and votes in congress. However, Judge Silva said the immunity would not apply to Bolsonaro because he made similar remarks later in the interview.

Maria do Rosario and Bolsonaro.
That was such a dirty slam, and it sounds exactly like the kind of stuff Trump has used to insult women he hates, like Rosie O'Donnell and any beauty contestant he thinks is over the weight limit in one of his Miss Whatever contests, like one contestant from South America he humiliated in public by mocking her.
All these clowns seem to have the same hatreds.
