COVID-19 measures tighten in Juarez as 'yellow' alert continues in Chihuahua state
Chihuahua state health authorities have tightened bar and restaurant capacity in Juárez, Chihuahua City and Delicias amid a continuing rise in COVID-19 infections.
The state health council lowered bar and restaurant occupancy limits to 30% capacity in Juárez, Chihuahua City and Delicias starting Monday, state officials said.
Health authorities also approved temperature checks at entrances to those cities, reinforced business inspections and increased resources for hospitals.
The new measures are set to continue until Jan. 17 in the three cities, which have seen large numbers of new cases.
