We’re also going to discuss the peace process, as you said. I want to thank you and Secretary Kerry for when I say tireless efforts, I mean tireless efforts that he has put into this quest, as you are.

It’s an opportunity to congratulate Secretary Kerry on the birth of his new granddaughter. Mr. Secretary, you may not be aware of this — but the news of the new granddaughter came to Secretary Kerry while we were discussing the peace process. So we’ve had many productive meetings, but this is truly a productive meeting. (Laughter.) And so I thank you both for you efforts and your team’s.

Secretary of State John F. Kerry headed to Ukraine on Monday night to show support for the interim leadership in the face of Russian military intervention.

But Kerry made a detour on his way -- stopping in New York to meet his hours-old granddaughter.

Kerry's daughter Alexandra gave birth earlier in the day. The baby had not been named by Monday night.

Kerry dashed to the hospital while his plane refueled at JFK Airport.

and spoke of the costs of being in the public eye. Irritatingly, the online version of WaPo does NOT have the most up-to-date posting on this (at least as of 7:45 am, it still links up to yesterday's less-detailed story), so I'm not posting the link

The new WaPo "Reliable Source" article names husband as "Julian" Dobbs-Higginson (however, looks like his first name is really be spelled Julien)
