Never heard the term "lemonparty" until I read a couple of posts in Meta where it was mentioned. Did a google search and followed links to various "shock" sites.
What I saw were outtakes of porn. The filmed parts that are left on the cutting room floor. I saw women crying, screaming and begging the man or men to stop. Some women looked whacked out on drugs.
One woman was performing oral sex on a well endowed man and he was so rough, she gagged and threw up on herself. A guy who looked like he was part of the film crew then dumped a bowl of something on her. She was crying, then got up and they continued to film her as she walked to what I guess was the bathroom. One could hear the men laughing as she walked away.
Obviously not all porn is made this way but I imagine some of the very low budget stuff is.
Really nasty stuff.

(80,708 posts)Why would anyone go looking for shit like that?
There was a "all porn is awful, because all porn is awful, QED" OP in GD a couple weeks ago, that contained the names of what i guess are fairly well frequented youtube style smut sites. I wont post the names, again, but they're in the thread. The gist of this person's argument was that the porn had to be abusive and anti-woman because some of the videos were tagged with words like "sluts".
If you do go to those sites, though, as far as i can tell mostly what you'll see is what is considered "vanilla", straight sex.
I dont know what constitutes "most" porn, i dont think anyone does. There are 7 billion people on this planet probably over 2/3 of them have access to a video camera at this point. Making blanket statements about ANY media based upon some horrible shit one has to seek out and dig up to find (how did the people talking about it even know?) is a gross generalization.
Beyond that, ive never come across anything remotely resembling what you're talking about, and no, im not going to google it either. ick.

(36,395 posts)So I google searched, clicked on some links and saw what I saw. So now I know what "lemonparty" is now and also what's in "shock sites".
This wasn't just a couple of people or a few more with a video camera recording some sex home movies. You could see stage lighting, guys holding sound equipment, hear the director giving orders, others with video cameras. They were movie sets.
It doesn't matter to me what one may think of porn but after seeing what I did, it's clear that in some cases, the women are humiliated, ridiculed, treated like shit and even physically hurt.
I've noticed you hang around the gungeon a lot, as a strong supporter of the RKBA. Nothing wrong with that, I support the 2nd Amendment myself. Obviously though, "in some cases" that right is misused to the utmost.. Does that reflect poorly on all law abiding gun owners, such as yourself, or just on those particular "some cases" individuals?
What I'm saying is..if it's not okay to broad brush all gun owners by using extreme examples..why is it apparently all right for you to do the same with those who make and watch porn?

(36,395 posts)I think high capacity magazines ought to be banned or tightly regulated.
I think anyone who wishes to buy a gun and even ammo for that matter must first complete a certified training course and pass a background check. Then they'll be issued a license which they have to show before being able to own/purchase a gun and ammo. And there should be a requirement that this training and background check be redone withing a certain time frame.
One reason I support the expanded SOP for the gungeon is it'll allow the discussion of firearm education and safety. Something i had thought would have been obvious but CreekDog brought up the fact that it ought to be specially written in the SOP.

(80,708 posts)However, these arguments quickly switch back and forth between "some" and "most" or "all". Its very easy to seek out extreme examples with which to try to manouever defenders of broad priniples - like free speech - into the position if defending specific instances of reprehenible shit.
I wont play that game, what i will say is that anything involving non consent is a crime. It sounds like the participants in the shit youre referencing might have a criminal case, and the evidence is even on film.

(20,924 posts)Count me on the list of people who doesn't feel the need to seek that out. I guess I'll go on record by stating (what I think is) the obvious - porn that degrades, abuses and humiliates any of the participants, male or female, is something I find repulsive. For what it's worth, anyway.
There's also some low budget stuff that's made between two (or more) consenting adults having a lot of fun and enjoying every minute of it. But I'm guessing lemonparty won't show those clips, for some reason.

(9,709 posts)no matter what it is. Porn hardly has a patent on such activity. A few questions if I might:
Are you suggesting all or most porn is the same as this "lemonparty" stuff ?
Are you opposed to porn being made by consenting adults?
One more question...what's the real point of this thread?

I answered that in my first post
"Are you opposed to porn being made by consenting adults?"
I'm not opposed to what consenting adults do.

(10,129 posts)I haven`t seen the clips you saw, but I have seen other similar types of scenes... these types of scenes are targeted to a very specific audience, but it is an audience that does include women... I get that the idea of extreme degredation play, rape (consentual non-consent play), blood play, etc does seem to be so "outre" that nobody - particularly no women - could or would ever willingly consent, but in fact, many do. (A side note on "play"... while the word itself suggests something kinda whimsical, in practice in the bdsm community, these "play" scenes are anything but... in fact during one of our recent meet-ups, the subject of rape/abduction play came up and we heard stories of our members almost getting arrested because if any outsider was to witness the scene, they would not have any way of knowing it wasn`t real.)

(6,801 posts)are you sure they weren't simulated videos for the benefit of a select audience?
Otherwise it sounds like what you watched was illegal. Possible, but also entirely possible that it was faked.
