A long time ago...but still great memories!! I was 17, messing around outside, transistor radio on listening to KOMA out of Oklahoma City for the latest great hits. It was the first time I heard the long cut of Light My Fire. The single version was on local radio, and I knew it by heart, hearing that long version was just mind-blowing at the time!!

They also caused one of the big upsets between Dad and I that summer--there was a Doors concert in Des Moines the last Wednesday of August that year. Unfortunately I started my senior year of school on Thursday....so, Dad wouldn't let me go to the concert

Ah, well, I got over it, and wound up with all their albums (except American Prayer) on vinyl. Yes, they have been digitized; Yes, they are on CD; Yes, they get played often!!!
