Dixon-Ticonderoga pencils: hecho en Mexico (and China)?

They're not made at Fort Ticonderoga? At least the lead is coaxially located within the wood.

David Fahrenthold Retweeted:

Secretive pencil company refuses to let @damianpaletta inside its sole US facility to verify that it actually makes any pencils there.

Dixon Ticonderoga, America's most famous pencil company, has received millions of dollars in government trade benefits and had assistance penalizing competitors. But almost all of its pencils are made in China and Mexico.

happens a lot. I do a lot of sourcing for my company.
When I particular product has an anti dumping duty imposed 2 things usually happen.
A foreign manufacturer can get a reduced duty or you can try to buy from an american company.
I usually try to find a foreign maker because the American companies are really not interested in doing business
for small quantities like 3,000 to 10,000 units.
